Spaghetti, spaghetti and more spaghetti!

Levi is getting so big and loves to eat big people food. He likes all kinds of foods. I loves green beans, carrots, potatoes, apples, peaches, grapes, spaghetti, mac and cheese, bread and butter, and many, many other things. He loves to be independent and feed himself (as well as sneaking some food to Tucker) and sometimes we just can't keep up with putting food on his tray. Here are a few pictures of him eatting spaghetti!

Needless to say, he got a bath right after his dinner of Spaghetti!



Here are his 10 and 11 month pictures. It is getting a lot harder to get him to sit still for a picture. He is always on the move but loves to show off for the camera!

Best friends

One of Levi's favorite things to do is chase Tucker around the house. Tucker usually tries to stay out of his way most of the time but occasionally we will find some good photo opportunities with both of them. Tucker is very patient with Levi and is very protective. He is such a good puppy and Levi loves him very much. As soon as Levi wakes up from his nap he wants to find his "Tu Tu"

One of Levi's favorite things to do is pull himself up to our front door and look out. Joe just happened to be outside with the camera the first day he did it. Here are some of those pictures!

Baseball, swimming and 4th of July!

We have had a very busy summer so far and I apologize for not updating our blog regularly. Levi has been growing like crazy and has been crawling for about a month and a half. He is very fast! He also loves to pull himself up to things and is very proud of himself when he does.

Over the 4th of July we were very busy trying new things with Levi. Joe and I took him to the Kalona pool for the first time and he loved it. Mom and dad also have a little pool in the backyard that all 3 kids love! Levi also tried his first grilled hot dog, baked beans, watermellon and freeze pop! He loved it all!

As a family, we went to the Cedar Rapids Kernals game on July 3rd. Levi did very well for how hot it was and got his first taste of one of our favorite things....Baseball! He even got his picture with Grandpa and Mr. Shucks!

Family Pictures

We had some family pictures taken by one of my co-workers. Alli has spent several years as a travel nurse and decided to take some time off and take a few photography classes. Then she decided to head back home to Iowa and landed a job as a transport nurse for the U of I. She still does a few photography sessions for friends and family. We met her in a little park in North Liberty and she started snapping away. We are so excited and happy with the results and definitely appreciate the time Alli put in to make this time in our lives so memorable!

Easter and 7 months

April was a busy month for the Fernau family. Levi is keeping us very busy. He has now learned to wave bye-bye and we often hear lots of Mama's and Dada's which we love! He is also figuring out how to get where he wants to go....not by crawling yet but lots of rolling and scooting backwards. We are sure the crawling is coming soon! Here are a few pictures of our Easter weekend. We spent the Saturday before Easter at Grandma and Grandpa Schrock's with cousins Tori and Kenna. Then Easter Sunday (the orange outfit) was spent going to church and again at Grandma and Grandpa Schrock's with the extended Leichty family. We all had a great time!
